Robin Olsen
Robin started in a Commercial Art program with solid training in drawing, black-and-white design, and color theory. Continually drawn to art, she took fiber classes after seeing art quilts and stayed on this path for years. Although Robin loved the meditative quality of hand stitching, she yearned for a more fluid medium. She explored intuitive painting, then realistic painting. Ten years ago, she settled on abstract painting, which allowed her to join an intuitive approach with design skills. Robin has a Ph.D. and has taught English at UC Davis.
